Me & Roboco TV Anime Has Comedian Kendo Kobayashi Join the Cast as Himself

Me & Roboco

A couple of years back, Japanese comedian Kendo Kobayashi won a “role” in the Me & Roboco manga after coming first in a game show with former deputy editor-in-chief of Weekly Shonen Jump. Now with the anime adaptation of the series currently airing, Kobayashi will be taking his character to the small screen voicing the role of Kenkoba-sensei.

Kendo Kobayashi said that since he heard Me & Roboco was getting an anime series, he has been anxiously waiting to see if he’d get the call to voice Kenkoba-sensei in the anime. Kobayashi noted that he even ad-libbed some lines in the episode.

Kobayashi is no stranger to voice acting in anime, with the role as the Deputy Chief in Police in a Pod TV anime in 2022 as well as Vinny in Promare and Dice in One Piece Film: Gold.
