Masayoshi Oishi Releases The Legendary Hero Is Dead! Anime Opening Theme MV

Anisong singer-songwriter Masayoshi Oishi has released a full music video for his tenth single song “Shinda!” (Dead!), which is now featured as the opening theme for the spring 2023 TV anime The Legendary Hero Is Dead!. Following the winter 2023’s The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten, he performs an anime opening theme song for two consecutive seasons.

The song was released digitally on April 7, and its CD single is set to be released on May 31. The music video was directed by Toshitaka Shinoda, who also worked on Oishi’s second single song “Otomodachi Film” (Tada Never Falls in Love opening theme) and YOASOBI’s third digital single song “Harusion,” while NON (ELEVENPLAY), who choreographed Oishi’s previous video “Gift” and “Otomodachi Film,” serves as the choreographer.

The video features four mass-produced edition Oishi who look a lot like himself wearing dark-rimmed glasses, and they show off a snappy dance performance that creates the illusion that there are five Oishi.
