Macross Anime Inspires New Shoot ‘Em Up Game on Consoles and PC

 

The recently-established Bushiroad Games label revealed a small handful of titles, including an upcoming RPG based on Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation and a shoot ’em up game based on classic anime series Macross. Set to take off sometime in 2023, Macross: Shooting Insight is currently in the works at developer Kaminari Games for PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC.

Last summer, Bigwest—the Japanese production company behind the Macross series—announced plans to team up with RightStuf’s Nozomi Entertainment to release and distribute a variety of Macross entries on Blu-ray in the US for the first time, including Macross Frontier, Macross Delta and Macross 7.
