Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club OAV Hits Japanese Theaters in 2023

 

If you’re a fan of school idols, then we’ve got some good news for you: a new original animation video has been announced for Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club, and it will be heading to theaters in Japan in the summer of 2023. A new key visual (below) has been published for the OAV.

 

 

Additionally, a new preview video (above) has been published for Nijiyon Animation, a short form spin-off anime featuring the girls of Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club. The series will broadcast on TOKYO MX and other stations beginning on January 06, 2023.

Love Live! Nijigasaki High School Idol Club is directed by Tomoyuki Kawamura and features animation production by Bandai Namco Filmworks. Crunchyroll currently streams the first two seasons of the series and describes the story as follows:

 

Nijigasaki High School is known for their diverse subjects and the freedom they give to students. Second-year student Yu Takasaki has been turned on to the charms of school idols, so she knocks on the door of the School Idol Club with her friend, Ayumu Uehara.

Sometimes friends, sometimes rivals, the members of this club each contribute their own thoughts and motivations to the group.
