Kento Nagayama, Nijiro Murakami, Mahiro Takasugi Cast in Tokyo Revengers Live-action Film Sequels

 

 

The official website for the live-action film adaptation project based on Ken Wakui’s Tokyo Revengers manga announced three additional cast members for its forthcoming two-part sequel – Kento Nagayama (Tatewaki Kuno in Ranma 1/2 live-avtion drama) as Keisuke Baji, Nijiro Murakami (Soushi Okita in Rurouni Kenshin live-action film) as Kazutora Hanemiya, and Mahiro Takasugi (Mitsuzane Kureshima/Kamen Rider Ryugen in Kamen Rider Gaim) as Chifuyu Matsuno. A special PV introduing them in the film is now streamed.

 

 

 

 

The story of the sequels is based on the “Bloody Halloween” arc, which was told in the original manga’s fourth to eight volumes. The main heroine Hinata Tachibana is killed once again in front of the protagonist Takemichi’s eyes by Tokyo Manji Gang, whose nature has become even more vicious. Takemichi goes back in time to investigate the “sad incident” that tore apart the six founding members of Tokyo Manji Gang, who are the key to saving Hinata.

 

Following the successful first film, which became the highest-grossing Japanese live-action film of 2021, the first part, Tokyo Revengers 2 Chi no Valentine-hen -Unmei- (Bloody Halloween Arc -Fate-) will be released in Japan on April 21, 2023, then the second part Tokyo Revengers 2 Chi no Valentine-hen -Kessen- (Bloody Halloween Arc -Decisive Battle-) will follow on June 30. Filming has already finished on October 31, 2022.
