The official YouTube channel for the male idol-themed multimedia franchise IDOLiSH7 released a new trailer titled “Currently Being Held” for its first concert film IDOLiSH 7 LIVE 4bit BEYOND THE PERiOD. The clip features gorgeous stage performances by the four idol groups in the film: IDOLiSH7, ŹOOĻ, TRIGGER, and Re:vale, as well as all of the 16 idols’ formation dance.

The 93-minute film produced by Orange (TRIGUN STAMPEDE) was released in 173 theaters across Japan on May 20 and has stayed in the Japanese weekly box office ranking top 10 for two consecutive weeks, #5 in its first weekend and #6 in its second.

It was also confirmed the film earned 409,612,576 yen (2.93 million USD) on 224,615 admissions in nine days since its release. Thanks to the success, the film will also get 4DX, MX4D, and Dolby Cinema screenings in Japan starting June 24.

The IDOLiSH7 franchise released its first rhythm game developed by Bandai Namco Online for Android and iOS platforms in August 2015. The series has continued to develop several multimedia projects, including the TV anime series, which aired for three seasons between 2018 and 2023.

IDOLiSH 7 LIVE 4bit BEYOND THE PERiOD is a concert film depicting the stage performances of the franchise’s four idol groups and features two distinct versions — “DAY1” and “DAY2” — with different song lists, screened on consecutive days during its theatrical run.
