Girlfriend, Girlfriend Final Manga Chapter Released in Japan

 

The final 144th chapter of Hiroyuki’s (AHO-GIRL) romantic comedy manga Girlfriend, Girlfriend was released in Japan today within Weekly Shonen Magazine’s latest 25th issue of 2023.

 

 

The manga began serialization in the magazine beginning in 2020, with 15 tankobon volumes released in Japan so far, and a total of more than 1.9 million copies in circulation. While continuing the comedic tone of AHO-GIRL, it depicts the strange love quadrangle relationship between the protagonist hero and the four heroines in a more serious manner. In the manga’s final chapter, the protagonist finally comes to a conclusion about his relationship with the four girls.

 

The 16th and final volume will be released in Japan on July 14. Its special edition will include all of the bonus contents for the past volumes, as well as many illustrations contributed by popular manga artists. The list of artists is as follows:

The first season of the TV anime adaptation, produced by Tezuka Production, aired for 12 episodes from July to September 2021, and all episodes are available on Crunchyroll. The second season newly produced by SynergySP is set to air in October 2023.

The protagonist, Naoya, is a first-year in high school. He asks out Saki, a girl he has been in love with, and she agrees to be his girlfriend. He’s currently on cloud nine. But then, a beautiful girl named Nagisa comes up to Naoya one day and tells him that she wants to go out with him. Naoya feels himself wavering because Nagisa is such a good girl, and he comes to a decision! A new kind of romcom from a rather unexpected decision is about to begin!
