Gen Hoshino’s SPY x FAMILY 1st Ending Theme “Comedy” Reaches 100 Million Streams
According to Billboards Japan, singer-songwriter Gen Hoshino‘s sixth digital single song “Comedy,” which was featured as the first ending theme for the TV anime SPY x FAMILY, has finally reached a milestone of 100 million streams in 39 weeks since its release.
The song was released digitally on April 8, 2022, then ranked No.1 on Billboards Japan’s download song chart “Download Songs” in its first week. This is Hoshino’s second song that has surpassed 100 million streams, following his fourth digital single song “Fushigi” released in April 2021. Meanwhile, the song’s music video has also been viewed over 20 million times on YouTube.
Hoshino’s official Twitter wrote, “Gen Hoshino’s ‘Comedy’ has surpassed 100 million total streams! Thank you for listening to it so much. We hope you will continue to keep Gen Hoshino’s ‘Comedy’ in your life and in your various environments.”
