Fist of the North Star Gets New Anime Adaptation
You wa shock! Big news today for fans of the mega-franchise Fist of the North Star. The manga that started it all by Buronson and Tetsuo Hara is getting a new anime adaptation.
That’s the word from Warner Bros. Japan, which is producing the anime. So far, all they’ve announced is that it’ll have a brand-new cast. The news aligns with the 40th anniversary of the manga, which hit the pages of Shonen Jump on September 13, 1983.
The manga ran until 1988 and inspired multiple anime adaptations, including the first series that ran from 1984 to 1987 and a 1986 feature film. There’re also live-action adaptations, OVAs, video games, pachinko machines, musicals and more.
