Hiroki Tōchi, the voice of Nicolai Asakura, also checked in with comments about his upgraded role. In the second cour, Nicolai steps in to replace Makoto Kakizaki (CV Nozomu Sasaki), who graduated from the in-series idol group. Tōchi said he’d heard a little about this development beforehand, but “now it feels like it’s finally here.” He also hopes fans will cheer for Nicolai as he steps up to a role in Eternal Boys.

Eternal Boys centers on an idol group comprised entirely of men 40 years old and over, as they pursue their idol dreams while overcoming their demographic’s own unique concerns. Migmi directs the series at Liden Films, with Kimiko Ueno handling the series composition, and Yukari Hashimoto handling the music. A manga based on the series was launched last April, and an otome game based on the series is due for release in Japan sometime this year.
