Enjoy Soft Animals in Fluffy Paradise Anime Trailer

The franchise known in English as Fluffy Paradise (or Isekai de Mofumofu Nadenade Suru Tameni Ganbattemasu in Japanese, which translates as I’ll Try My Best So I Can Pet and Pat in Another World) shared a trailer for its upcoming anime adaptation. And, yes, it’s fluffy.

The anime will debut this January, and will be streamed in America by Crunchyroll. It was also announced that Ai Kakuma has been cast as the lead character, Néma.

Fluffy Paradise is being made at EMT, with Jun’ichi Kitamura — who has directed episodes of Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear — helming the project as director. The person in charge of series scripts is Deko Akao, who has worked on Noragami. Credit for character design goes to Asami Miyazaki, who has also worked in animation direction and key animation on other properties.

The franchise started out as a light novel series, and those are being published in English by Cross Infinite World. There is also the Fluffy Paradise manga adaptation, which is published in English digitally by Coolmic. Coolmic gave this description for the plot:

Midori Akitsu (27 years old), ends up in another world after dying from overwork?! I got reincarnated in another world after God blessed me with a special ability. This ability is “to be loved by non-human beings.” Huh?! Meaning that humans might not like me, but all the fluffy animals will love me? Whoaaa! I get to pet a white tiger and dragons to my heart’s [content]! After being reborn as Néma, the youngest daughter of a top class noble family, I’m doing my best for the survival of humanity (?) while enjoying this world’s fluffiness.

The novels made their debut in 2010 on the site Shōsetsuka ni Narō, followed by the manga adaptation in 2017. The novels continue to be published.
