Nintendo’s Osaka Store Switches Its Lights on November 11

Nintendo Store Osaka

After announcing nearly a year ago that Nintendo would open its second directly managed store in Osaka by the end of 2022, the Kyoto-based company revealed today that Nintendo Store Osaka will open on November 11, just in time for the Splatoon 3 amiibo to release on the same day.

The new Nintendo Store Osaka will sell exclusive goods that can’t be found elsewhere, much like Nintendo Store Tokyo, as well as hold special events and releases.

A special pre-opening event will be held on November 10 for 2,000 people in 1,000 groups for those selected by lottery. Goods will be available on sale on that day ahead of the full opening the next day. Lottery applications will be accepted until October 20.

Nintendo Osaka will be housed on the 13th floor of Daimaru Umeda, which is located inside the South Gate Building of Osaka Station, making it easy for visitors to the city to visit, if shoppers can get in! A Pokémon Center is currently in the same building on the same floor, making for a synergy much like Nintendo’s first self-managed which opened in Shibuya Parco on November 22, 2019.
