City Hunter The Movie: Angel Dust Anime Film Amps up Action with New Trailer and Poster

 

It’s a great day to be a City Hunter fan. Another look at the upcoming film, Angel Dust, has just dropped—and those familiar with the classic action series will recognize a lot of key moments from its history.

 

The new trailer features more clips, more characters and (most exciting of all) a new song! TM NETWORK, the performers of the series’s original ending theme, “Get Wild,” are back with a new song. Check out a portion of “Whatever Comes” in the new trailer below:

New characters abound, including Miyuki Sawashiro (Fujiko Mine in Lupin the Third) as Angie and Kenyuu Horiuchi (Gren in Cowboy Bebop) as Shin Kaibara.

 

Plus, there’s a new poster spotlighting the central characters of the film:

Both the trailer and poster confirm a September 8 release date for the film.

 

City Hunter The Movie: Angel Dust will focus on Ryo Saeba’s past and the death of his partner Hideyuki Makimura. Returning cast include Akira Kamiya as Ryo Saeba, Kazue Ikura as Kaori Makimura, Yōko Asagami as Saeko Nogami, Tesshô Genda as Umibôzu, and Mami Koyama as MikiShinjuku Private Eyes director Kenji Kodama and scriptwriter Yasuyuki Muto return for the new film.
