BLAME! and Kaina of the Great Snow Sea Anime Team Up for Japanese Screening Event

To celebrate the upcoming TV broadcast of Kaina of the Great Snow Sea, a special theatrical screening / staff talk event will be held in Kanagawa Prefecture in December, featuring special guests as well as showings of Kaina of the Great Snow Sea and BLAME!, a 2017 theatrical anime film that is also based on a manga created by author Tsutomu Nihei.

The event begins at 1:00pm JST at the Kawasaki Cinecitta theater venue in Kawasaki, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan. Guests include Hiroaki Ando (director of both BLAME! and Kaina of the Great Snow Sea) and Tadahiro “Tady” Yoshihira (assistant director of BLAME!). Advance tickets for the event will go on sale online beginning on November 30, while general admission tickets will be available at the box office beginning on December 9.

 

The 2017 BLAME! theatrical film currently streams on Netflix, while Kaina of the Great Snow Sea will stream on Crunchyroll beginning in January 2023 as part of the winter 2023 anime simulcast lineup.
