BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy- Anime Adds Two Voice Actors
The saga of BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy- continues in a new season. And the cast is expanding, with two new voice actors announced today!
Jun Fukuyama (Lelouch in Code Geass) will appear as MacAlpine Tony Strauss, a Sorcerer Shogun who first appeared in Chapter 74 of the manga. Fukuyama commented that he’s a long-time superfan of BASTARD!!, to the point that he and his classmates would compete to see who could recite the most spells. He also notes that he is doing his best to make sure both anime and manga fans enjoy his work.

Also joining the cast is Ryuichi Kijima (Gido in That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime). He will be appearing as Schen Karr, a samurai of legendary power. Kijima say that when he heard about the new anime, he was hoping he would be able to take part. He’s excited to be taking on the role of “a man who lives for bushido, love and revenge.”

BASTARD!! -Heavy Metal, Dark Fantasy- is directed by Takaharu Ozaki and features animation production by Liden Films. The series is currently streaming in the United States and other world markets on Netflix, who describe the story as follows:
