BanG Dream! Franchise Has Finally Shipped Three Million CDs in Total
The total cumulative number of Bushiroad’s multimedia franchise Bang Dream!-related music CDs shipped has finally surpassed three million copies. The news was revelased during a special program for the forthcoming sixth anniversary super major update for its mobile rhythm game BanG Dream! Girls Band Party! streamed last night.
The franchise was launched in January 2015. Then the game app started its service for Android and iOS in March 2017 and has attracted over 16 million domestic registered users. The franchise’s seven main bands – Poppin’Party, Afterglow, Pastel＊Palettes, Roselia, Hello, Happy World!, Morfonica, and Raise A Suilen – have released many CD singles and albums for the songs featured in the game app and the anime series.
The total cumulative number of the related music CDs shipped first reached the one million mark in December 2018, then surpassed the two million mark in January 2020. It means the franchise shipped a total of one million copies even in the last three years.
