Attack on Titan VR

Today marked the unveiling of Meta Quest 3, the latest virtual reality headset from Meta that’s due out this year for $499. A bunch of game announcements came along with it, including VR hunting action game Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable, which takes Hajime Isayama’s hit series to the virtual world on Meta Quest 2, Meta Quest 3 and Meta Quest Pro this winter.

Attack on Titan VR: Unbreakable offers up single player and co-op modes that task players with taking on missions as members of the Scout Regiment, zipping into combat freely with the use of Omni-Directional Mobility (ODM) Gear. Both Japanese and English options will be available, and you can see a sample in the first concept trailer below.

You can catch all of the Attack on Titan anime streaming on Crunchyroll, which describes the series like so:

Known in Japan as Shingeki no Kyojin, many years ago, the last remnants of humanity were forced to retreat behind the towering walls of a fortified city to escape the massive, man-eating Titans that roamed the land outside their fortress. Only the heroic members of the Scouting Legion dared to stray beyond the safety of the walls – but even those brave warriors seldom returned alive. Those within the city clung to the illusion of a peaceful existence until the day that dream was shattered, and their slim chance at survival was reduced to one horrifying choice: kill – or be devoured!
