Aoi Yuki, Ayahi Takagaki, Shigeru Chiba Newly Join Urusei Yatsura Reboot Anime
During the New Year’s special program for the ongoing reboot of the Urusei Yatsura TV anime, three new voice cast members were announced – Aoi Yuki (Madoka Kaname in Puella Magi Madoka Magica) as Lum’s young cousin, Ten, Ayahi Takagaki (Lisbeth in Sword Art Online) as a female student who has been raised as a boy, Ryunosuke Fujinami, and Shigeru Chiba (Yoshihiro Kira in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable) as Ryunosuke’s father. Like Toshio Furukawa and Fumi Hirano, Chiba played one of the main characters in the original series, Megane.
The anime’s official website has also started streaming a new PV for its forthcoming second cour. The song featured in the clip is the second cour’s opening theme “I Wanna Muchu feat. asmi, Threee” provided by MAISONdes, who worked on the first cour’s “AIUE feat. Minami and SAKURAmoti.” The new ending theme also by them will be revealed in the next 12th episode to be aired on January 5.
