Ai from Case Closed TV Anime Inspires Elegant Music Box
Fans of Case Closed know the influence of Ai Haibara all too well. So it’s only right she gets a gorgeous piece of memorabilia dedicated to her!
Ai is the inspiration behind a new Aizu lacquerware music box from PREMICO. This unique art style, which originated in the Aizu region of Fukushima, employs a variety of complex techniques to create its elegant patterns. While many examples of Aizu lacquerware use specific sets of imagery associated with the craft, this piece is decorated with symbols that tell Ai’s story. How many can you spot?

When opened, the music box plays the show’s theme and reveals Ai’s name and picture on the inside mirror:

The music box is now available for pre-order, priced at 36,080 yen (tax included). Orders will ship out starting in late July.
