YOASOBI Releases Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury Opening Theme’s English Version MV
Japanese music duo YOASOBI‘s second CD single “Shukufuku” was released in Japan today on November 9, and a music video for the title track’s English lyric version, “The Blessing,” was also posted on their official YouTube channel.
In addition to Japanese lyrics, they have released many English lyrics versions of their songs, and “Blessing” is included not only on this single, but also on “E-SIDE 2” (November 18 release), their second digital EP which contains only songs with English lyrics.

The original Japanese lyric version, “Shukufuku” is now featured as the opening theme for the TV anime Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury. The song’s music video has been viewed more than 11 million times on YouTube so far.

The latest Gundam TV series, Mobile Suit Gundam: The Witch from Mercury premiered in Japan on October 2, and is now simulcast on Crunchyroll for its members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and CIS.
