Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! Manga Resumes Serialization After 4-Month Hiatus

Take, the author of the Uzaki-chan Wants to Hang Out! manga series, announced on his official Twitter account on May 5 that serialization of Uzaki-chan will resume on KADOKAWA’s DraDra Sharp website on May 19 with the 94th chapter. Initially, after the series’ 93rd chapter was released on January 27, the author announced in the following message that he would be taking a long break.

“I really wanted to finish the next 94th chapter as soon as possible so that you could read it, but I’ve reached burnout first. I’ve been trying to trick myself, but it’s been getting a little overwhelming and various places of my body have been breaking down since last year, so I’m going to do a complete physical and mental maintenance once I finish work on volume 10. Let’s aim for the 100th chapter.”

After a four-month hiatus, the author finally announced on Twitter that he would resume serialization in a message below.

“I’ve had a hard time getting back into the swing of things, and I can’t draw at the same speed as before, so I’m not sure if I’ll be able to say that the series is back on track. Anyway, I will post the latest 94th chapter next week on May 19! Sorry for the long wait! I’ll try my best until I’m about one step away from collapsing again.”

Manga 1st & 10th volume covers:

The comedy manga began in December 2017 with ten tankoban volumes released in Japan to date and a total circulation of 2.5 million copies in circulation. Seven Seas Entertainment releases the English edition of the manga, with the ninth volume scheduled to release in June. The manga’s TV anime adaptation aired for two seasons between 2020 and 2022. All the episodes are available on Crunchyroll for members in North America, Central America, South America, Europe, Africa, Oceania, the Middle East and CIS. Crunchyroll describes the series:

University student Shinichi Sakurai is comfortable being an introverted loner and doesn’t care what others think. Buxom underclassmen Hana Uzaki doesn’t understand this one bit. A tornado of joy, she’s taken it upon herself to make him more social. Starting to enjoy her company, he’d concede that they’re friends. Can it be possible to have as much fun with another person as he would by himself?
