Urusei Yatsura and Maruchan Ramen Collab for Dating Sim Shenanigans

 

The world of Rumiko Takahashi‘s Urusei Yatsura can feel like a dating sim sometimes. So for their collaboration with the new anime, instant noodle company Maruchan just rolled with it!

 

The collab doesn’t involve a playable game, but it does include a trio of videos showing what such a game might look like. Voice actors Sumire Uesaka, Hiroshi Kamiya and Maaya Uchida all reprise their roles from the series as Lum, Ataru and Shinobu, respectively.

In addition to these adverts, the official Toyo Suisan Twitter account will be running a retweet competition. 100 lucky fans will get themselves a box of Maruchan Red Kitsune Udon and Green Tanuki Tensoba (six of each) in one of two Urusei Yatsura collab boxes. To enter, fans need to be following the account and retweet which box they would like—the Lum-centric design or the “character mix”:
