Tokyu Kabukicho Tower’s “EVANGELION KABUKICHO IMPACT” Collaboration Campaign Includes A Stage Play
Tokyu Kabukicho Tower, one of the largest hotel and entertainment facilities in Japan, is scheduled to open on April 14, 2023, and its first collaboration campaign with the Evangelion anime franchise, entitled “EVANGELION KABUKICHO IMPACT,” is announced. The campaign aims to create a place where visitors can immerse themselves in the world of Evangelion and master their love for Evangelion by enabling them to enjoy Evangelion from every angle throughout the facility.
Outline of “EVANGELION KABUKICHO IMPACT”
1. “Stage: Evangelion Beyond” (tentative title) at THEATER MILANO-Za
– As the opening performance of THEATER MILANO-Za, a new entertainment of Evangelion will be performed on the stage. Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui (TeZukA, Pluto stage plays), who has won numerous awards including the Laurence Olivier Award, will compose, direct, and choreograph the play.
2. “LIFESTYLE HOTEL EVA” at Life Style Hotel: HOTEL GROOVE SHINJUKU
– “LIFESTYLE HOTEL EVA” will open for a limited time at HOTEL GROOVE SHINJUKU, a lifestyle hotel where guests can experience the art, music, and other culture that continues to emerge in Kabukicho. One floor of guest rooms will be arranged in the world of “Evangelion” to provide a space that can be enjoyed by a wide range of fans. In the guest rooms, there will be interiors themed on each pilot, special videos, and original goods. In the restaurant, you can enjoy original collaboration drinks and food.
3. “Evangelion” Related Film Festival” (tentative title) at Movie theaters 109 Cinemas Premium Shinjuku
– Shinjuku Milano-za in the TOKYU MILANO building was the main screening theater for Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & Rebirth and The End of Evangelion released in 1997, and due to their huge success and social phenomenon, it was called the “holy land.” In the Rebuild of Evangelion series started in 2007, all the films were also screened at the Shinjuku Milano-za until it closed its doors for business. And now, as a special event to celebrate the opening of 109 Cinemas Premium Shinjuku, which will open on the former site of Shinjuku Milano-za, the “Evangelion” series and related films will be screened all together.

4. “Yoko Takahashi special live concert ” at Live Hall Zepp Shinjuku (TOKYO)
– In commemoration of “EVANGELION KABUKICHO IMPACT,” a special one-night-only live performance by Yoko Takahashi, who has sung many theme songs the Evangelion series such as “A Cruel Angel’s Thesis” and “Soul’s Refrain” will be held on May 28, 2023. This will be her first solo concert with an audience themed on the Evangelion series.
