Tokyo Revengers Live-Action Film Cast Member Kento Nagayama Arrested on Suspicion of Marijuana Possession

 

The NHK reported today that actor Kento Nagayama was arrested by the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department on suspicion of possession of marijuana. The 34-year-old actor recently played Keisuke Baji in the Tokyo Revengers live-action film series.

 

On the night of June 15, investigators from the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department searched his apartment in Meguro Ward, Tokyo, and found marijuana, leading to his arrest on the following day, according to investigators sourced in the NHK’s report. The police are now investigating how he came to be in possession of the drug.

 

Nagayama made his professional acting debut in 2007, winning the Rookie Award at the 32th Japan Academy Award in 2010 for his starring performance in the film “Soft Boy.” Nagayama played the role of Keisuke Baji since the Tokyo Revengers 2 Chi no Valentine-hen -Unmei- movie was released in Japan on April 21, 2023. He also appears in the upcoming sequel Tokyo Revengers 2 Chi no Valentine-hen -Kessen-, the third installment in the live-action film series, which opens in Japan on June 30. At the time of reporting, the film’s official website and Twitter have not released a statement.
