A bunch of news came through during this past weekend’s Sneaker Bunko 35th Anniversary Festa event over the weekend, including plans for an anime adaptation for Tanba and Yuunagi’s The Insipid Prince’s Furtive Grab for the Throne light novel series.

There currently isn’t much in the way of info beyond the general adaptation plans, but Yuunagi shared the above illustration to mark the occasion.

The Insipid Prince’s Furtive Grab for the Throne first kicked off on the Shosetsu ni Naro website in 2019, and the 12th compiled volume is set to launch in Japan on September 29. The manga adaptation currently has six volumes in print.

Kadokawa publishes the original light novels and Yukino Amagai’s manga adaptation, describing the story like so:

Arnold, the seventh Imperial Prince of the Adrasia Empire, is called “THE INSIPID PRINCE” among people since his twin brother is genius and respected by all people. However, he has a secret identity -SILVER, one of the only five -SS-rank adventurers in the continent. When his younger brother Leo decides to aim for the throne, Arnold starts running things behind the scenes to support his brother. Unexpectedly the most beautiful lady becomes his assistant. The secret struggle of the strongest prince begins!
