The Eminence In Shadow 2nd Season Has World Premiere at Anime Expo 2023
Ahead of its premiere on Japanese television in October, the world premiere of The Eminence In Shadow 2nd Season TV anime is slated for this year’s Anime Expo, with HIDIVE and Kadokawa partnering on hosting a subtitle and dub premiere on separate days during the convention. The premiere schedule can be found below:

The Eminence in Shadow 2nd Season World Premiere (Subtitled)

- Saturday, July 1 at 12:15 pm Pacific

The Eminence in Shadow 2nd Season World Premiere (Dub)
- Episode 1 Screening followed by Q&A with Adam Gibbs and Christina Kelly
- Saturday, July 4 at 11:00 am Pacific
- Petree Hall – Los Angeles Convention Center
Each premiere will include a post-screening Q&A session. The July 1 subtitled premiere will include Japanese cast member Seiichiro Yamashita (voice of Cid/Shadow), with the July 4 dubbed premiere will include English dub cast members Adam Gibbs (voice of Cid/Shadow) and Christina Kelly (voice of Alpha).
The Eminence in Shadow light novel series has been published in Japan by Enterbrain since November 2018, and a manga version with illustration by Anri Sakano beginning in December 2018. Yen Press releases both the English language version of the light novel and manga. The TV anime features Kazuya Nakanishi directing with animation production by Nexus, with the first season airing between October 2022 to February 2023, with the second season premiering in October 2023. Everything has been going according to plan, but the hour of awakening draws near.
