The anime was made at J.C.STAFF, with Yoshinobu Yamakawa of Hi Score Girl helming the project as director. In the original Japanese dub, the main actors are Natsuki Hanae and Ayumi Mano. It’s based on a manga series by INOUE, which is published in English by Seven Seas Entertainment. Seven Seas gave this description for the plot:

The manga that inspired the anime: a gothic romcom between a cursed duke and his flirty maid!

When the duke was a young boy, a witch cast a powerful curse upon him, making it so that any living thing he touched would die. Now a young man, he lives in a sprawling mansion with only servants for his companions: an elderly butler, and his childhood friend, a busty blonde maid named Alice. Despite the curse, Alice is constantly flirting with him and seems to delight in making him blush! But how close can they truly grow as long as the curse is in place?

Volume seven of the manga came out this week, and volume eight is scheduled to be released in September.
