Disclosure: Crunchyroll is part of a joint venture between Sony Pictures Entertainment and Aniplex.

If you remember back in the simpler days of 2019, we reported on the sequel to Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse after the smash success of the first movie at the box office in 2018. At the time, the sequel was being fast tracked for a release in 2022, with no one aware of the global pandemic that would ensue in the following year affecting everything from movie theaters to productions and even release schedules.
