Tamaki started her model activities when she was six months old and made her child actress debut in 2010 when she was four years old in a TV commercial. Her TV drama appearances include Michiru Tachibana in Ultraman X (2015) and Oto in Kishiryu Sentai Ryusoulger (2019-2020).

The manga author Shiro likes her vibe as the character, saying, “Amid the rushed costume changes, Sora Tamaki-san in her school uniform was also glimpsed, giving the impression that Mito was right there… I felt that this was going to be a good one…!”

Tamaki describes how she felt when she got the role: “I had always been interested in cameras, so when I found out this story was about cameras, while I was anxious about being the lead, my happiness and enjoyment won out. I had read the original story, but the script had added the background of the character I would be playing, Mito, and expanded her personality. I was excited because I felt I could play with a variety of emotions.

“Because I am the same age as Mito, I am glad that I can understand the difficulty, anxiety, and discomfort of living alone at hers age,” said Tamaki. “There are many wonderful cameras in the story, so I think one of the highlights is not only the camera, but also the locations where she goes to take pictures. I would be happy if this work makes you think that you would like to start using a camera.”

The manga began serialization in October 2019 with four tankobon volumes have been available in Japan to date. The story centers on Mito Ikeda, a gloomy high school girl who doesn’t like herself. She is invited by her neighbor, Chisato, to take up photography, which leads her to change little by little. After taking the first step, new friends gather around her one after another, and she begins to explore what she wants to photograph. And then Mito realizes what she wants to photograph is Chisato.
