Skip and Loafer TV Anime Strolls Over With New Trailer, Visual and Premiere Date
The sweetness of the upcoming Skip and Loafer TV Anime will be on full display when the adaptation of Misaki Takamatsu’s romantic comedy manga premieres on April 4. Alongside the announcement of the premiere date, a new trailer and key visual were released with details on the opening and ending themes.
As heard in the above trailer, Keina Suda will be performing the opening theme song “Mellow” with Rikako Aida performing the ending theme song “Hanauta to Mawarimichi (Humming and Detours).”

Skip and Loafer is being directed by Kotomi Deai (Silver Spoon, Natsume’s Book of Friends 5), who also serves as series composer, at studio P.A. Works, with character designs by Manami Umeshita (March comes in like a lion animation director) and music by Takatsugu Wakabayashi (Lucifer and the Biscuit Hammer).
The Skip and Loafer TV anime will premiere on April 4 at 11 PM in Japan with Crunchyroll already announced to be streaming it soon after. Crunchyroll describes the series as such:
Iwakura Mitsumi graduated from a small middle school in the countryside and entered a top-tier high school in Tokyo at the head of the class. This child prodigy, who moved to Tokyo alone with a perfect life plan, is smart and gets good grades… but her social understanding isn’t quite on the same wavelength as others. This means that she sometimes makes mistakes, but her easygoing nature sways her classmates little by little, and all their different personalities are coming together before they know it. They meet and gradually come to know each other, and before long they understand each other well. Everyone experiences pent-up feelings and frustrations, but it is our friends who give us a chance at mutual understanding. This story may start out with some discord, but it becomes a happy school-life comedy before you know it!
