Three-member Japanese musical unit sajou no hana has started steaming a full music video for their seventh single song “Kirikizu” (cut), which is now featured as the ending theme for the TV anime Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? IV Deep Calamity Arc. The CD single of the song will be available on February 22, 2023.

This is their third theme song work for the Danmachi franchise, following “Evergreen,” the ending theme for the TV anime third season in 202 and “Tentou,” the opening theme for the fourth season’s first arc in 2022.

“Kirikizu,” written/composed by the unit’s bassist Tatsuya Kitani, conveys the feelings of mutual concern and support between [you] and [me] in a world full of unknown things. In the music video, the vocalist sana wanders around the city alone with her worries, the emotional black-and-white images and slow shutter speed express her feelings of not fitting in the world.

Vocalist sana wrote on Twitter, “The song was sung under the light falling on the cold land of winter. We will surely overcome the cruel darkness because ‘you’ are here. I hope you can feel the echo and sway of my prayer for hope. Please reach…!”
