Redemption Beckons in VINLAND SAGA Season 2 Trailers

Prince Canute is stunned by an otherworldly vision in a scene from the VINLAND SAGA TV anime.

 

VINLAND SAGA Season 2, the ongoing adaptation based on Makoto Yukimura’s historical fiction manga, is continuing into its second cour beginning on April 04, 2023, and now two dramatic new preview videos (below) have been released to tease the continuing story of Thorfinn and company.

 

The first trailer features the opening theme for the series, entitled “Paradox”, which is performed by Survive Said The Prophet, while the second trailer features the ending theme for the series, entitled “Ember”, which is performed by haju:harmonics.

The original VINLAND SAGA manga is serialized in Kodansha’s Monthly Afternoon seinen manga magazine, and an English language version is also available from Kodansha USA. VINLAND SAGA Season 2 is directed by Shuhei Yabuta and features animation production by MAPPA. The series is currently streaming on Crunchyroll, who describe the story as follows:

 

Around the end of the millennium, Viking, the mightiest but atrocious tribe, had been out breaking everywhere. Thorfinn, the son of the greatest warrior, lived his childhood in the battlefield. He was seeking the land of reverie called Vinland. This is the story of a true warrior in an age of turmoil.
