The group was formed in 2015, and Nono Kiyoshi and Nanako Kayama, two new members who were chosen by audition, joined this month. They previously performed the ending theme for The Honor Student at Magic High School in 2021, and “Neppuu wa Rutensuru” is their first opening theme for a TV anime series. As their fifth major single and the first single by the new lineup, it is set to be released on March 15, 2023.

The five members have posted their comments about the song as below:

Mariri Okutsu: I sang passionately and hotly about that “Oooooh!” feeling I had when I read the original manga and the anticipation I felt for Suzu’s romance! I hope that boys all over the country will feel excited a little!, knowing even a pretty girl is thinking like this in her head…? I myself am looking forward to seeing how such and such scenes will be depicted in the anime!

Maria Sato: Battle, romantic comedy, etc… Just as “Ayakashi Triangle” has various attractions and charms, we sang the song in a way that makes it full of interesting points to listen to, valuing the individual characters and personalities of each member. We hope to further enhance the world view of “Ayakashi Triangle” with our bold lyrics and fast-paced music, which has cuteness at the same time!

Haru Hinata: The first single as a new lineup of Philosophy no Dance. When I found out that we were going to sing the opening song for “Ayakashi Triangle,” I was very happy, but at the same time I was nervous like never before. I was very nervous while recording the song, but I sang it with the hope of expressing in the song the duality of the delicate, cute, and bold aspects of the illustration that impressed me when I read the manga, and running through with this new lineup that is about to begin with the same vigor as a hot wind! I am really looking forward to the broadcast of the anime. I hope our song will make the work even more exciting…!

Nono Kiyoshi: In the recording of “Neppuu wa Rutensuru,” I put the image of the heroine Suzu’s maidenly heart and a little bold and obstinate nature that wants to go one step further in a male-female relationship, rather than just being friends with Matsuri into the song. I hope the song conveys Suzu’s devoted and straightforward feelings! The song was created so that you could relate to the agonized feeling of a girl in love, so I would be happy if you will enjoy the song along with the main story!

Nanako Kayama: Suzu and Matsuri’s intersecting feelings and their fierce battle against the demons. I sang about the exciting development of the story, keeping close to the emotions of the characters! The song is filled with love and dedication to “Ayakashi Triangle,” so I hope you will enjoy the song along with the anime! What kind of heated battles will unfold…, how will their relationship change…! I’m really looking forward to the anime airing!
