New Pokémon TV Anime Reveals Start Date, First Details on Female Protagonist
For the first time in 25 years, Ash will not be leading the newest Pokémon anime series with the now-Pokémon master currently trotting around with some old friends for the final time. With that, the first deeper look at the new female protagonist Liko was revealed today alongside the announcement that the new Pokémon anime series, just titled New Series Pocket Monsters in Japanese, will be starting on April 14.
Liko will be one of two protagonists for the new Pokémon anime alongside Roy.

Ash’s journey started concluding on January 13 on TV Tokyo in Japan with the episodes to be part of the last batch of Pokémon Ultimate Journeys: The Series episodes that are streaming on Netflix in part. No English timing has been confirmed. The next Pokémon anime series begins in Japan on April 14.
