My Love Story With Yamada-kun at Lv999 Character Trailer Spotlights Grumpy Gamer Girl

 

Emotions run hot and cold in a new character preview video for My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999, an upcoming TV anime based on the romantic comedy manga by Mashiro about a girl on the rebound who pursues romance in the world of online video games.

 

The PV (below) focuses on Runa Sasaki (voiced by Ai Kakuma), a somewhat antisocial young lady who gets along well with her brother Eita and his friend Akito Yamada, but who doesn’t immediately warm up to the heroine, Akane Kinoshita.

The original My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999 manga is serialized by Media Factory in their Ganma! shojo manga magazine, and an English language version is also available from Mangamo under the title Loving Yamada at Lv999!. Mangamo describes the story of the series as follows:

 

Recently dumped, Akane is just about to quit the game she used to play with her boyfriend, when she meets Yamada in the same RPG. Yamada in real life turns out to be somewhat of a legend. The only problem is – he is ONLY interested in the game. As Akane’s feelings grow, will Yamada’s focus stay on the game?

 

The My Love Story with Yamada-kun at Lv999 TV anime is directed by Morio Asaka and features animation production by MADHOUSE. The series is scheduled to broadcast in Japan on TOKYO MX and other stations beginning on April 1, 2023.
