Murai in Love Anime Heads to Disney+ This Fall
Initially announced back in June 2022, we now have more details on the Murai in Love anime. The adaptation of Junta Shima’s rom-com manga of the same name is coming to Disney+ this fall, and a new teaser trailer is here with more info on the cast and staff behind it.
Murai in Love is being directed by Yoshiki Yamakawa (The Duke of Death and His Maid), with Susumu Yamakawa (The Way of the Househusband) on scripts and Ruka Kawada composing music for the J.C. Staff production. Stars include Kengo Takanashi as Murai, Yoko Hikasa as Ayano Tanaka and Nobunaga Shimazaki as Hitotose.

The series follows a high school teacher who loves otome games named Tanaka, and a high school boy named Murai who is in love with Tanaka. Murai confesses but is rejected by Tanaka, who has never been in a real-life romance before. This might change, however, when Murai makes a move and transforms himself into the exact likeness of a beloved character from Tanaka’s favorite otome game.
