Masamune-kun’s Revenge R TV Anime Reveals New Love Interest, Spring 2023 Premiere in First Trailer

 

Masamune continues his revenge on Aki in the second season of the popular romantic comedy TV anime Masamune-kun’s Revenge, which today got its first full trailer revealing not only two new characters (one who is a new love interest!) but also the details of the opening theme song and a spring 2023 premiere!

Ayaka Ohashi, who voices Aki in Masamune-kun’s Revenge returns to the series to perform the opening theme song “Please, please!” after performing the opening theme song for the first season.

The first season of Masamune-kun’s Revenge ran for twelve episodes in 2017, with an OAD released in 2018. The original Masamune-kun’s Revenge manga is serialized in Ichijinsha’s Monthly Comic REX shōnen manga magazine, and an English language version is also available from Seven Seas Entertainment. The first anime season of Masamune-kun’s Revenge was directed by Mirai Minato with animation production by Silver Link. Crunchyroll describes the story as follows:

 

“I’ve returned to this town for revenge!” Eight years ago, Makabe Masamune, a weak and chubby boy, was harshly rejected by the beautiful Adagaki Aki. Now, he’s lost a ton of weight, changed his name, and returned as a handsome teenage boy… all to make the “Brutal Princess” Aki fall in love with him so that he can reject her just as harshly as she did.
