The first chapter is now available online via the VIZ Media app, web reader, and the Shonen Jump app. Kawada previously authored Hinomaru Sumo, which ran in the Weekly Shonen Jump from 2014 to 2019 for 28 volumes. The TV anime adaptation was released in 2018 for 24 episodes, with Konosuka Uda and Yasutaka Yamamoto directing at GONZO. VIZ Media describes the new series, Martial Master Asumi:
When bullies force Nito’s hand, he decides to stop running and use his secret martial arts skills to fight for his life!
