Machico Shares Her Thoughts on KONOSUBA: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! Theme Song
Japanese record company Nippon Columbia has announced that anisong singer Machico‘s next ninth single “STAY FREE” is set to be released on April 26, 2023. As reported, it will be featured as the opening theme for the forthcoming TV anime KONOSUBA: An Explosion on This Wonderful World! to premiere in Japan on April 5.

Machico has performed all theme songs for the KONOSUBA franchise since its first TV anime in 2016. The press release describes her new song “STAY FREE” as “Machico’s clear singing voice stands out in this magnificent song.” The CD single will be released in two editions: the CD-only regurar edition and the first press limited edition with a bonus DVD that includes the song’s full music video and behind-the-scenes footage.
Message from Machico:
I’ll collaborate with “KONOSUBA: An Explosion on This Wonderful World!” as well! This time, the song is different from the usual “KONOSUBA” style of fast-paced feeling, as if to watch over and guide Megumin and her friends. Sometimes we get lost, but that is also a necessary path for growth.I would be happy if this would become such a song that everyone who has a dream can calm down gently.
