Lynn Minmay VA Mari Iijima Posts Five Music Videos from 1984, including Macross Film Theme Song

Out of the blue, Victor Entertainment’s official YouTube channel has started streaming singer/voice actress Mari Iijima‘s (Lynn Minmay in Super Dimension Fortress Macross) five music videos from 1984, including the theme song for the Macross franchise’s first feature film, Macross: Do You Remember Love?

While in college, she sent demo tapes to Victor, then signed a contract with the record company. But even before making her debut as a singer, she was cast as the voice of Lynn Minmay, one of the main heroines of the 1982 TV anime Super Dimension Fortress Macross and sang several character songs of hers.

In September 1983, she made her debut with her first album “Rosé,” written/composed by herself and produced by Ryuichi Sakamoto, who won Academy Award by the soundtrack music for Bernardo Bertolucci’s The Last Emperor four years later. Since then, she has released 27 singles and 26 original albums.
