Like a Dragon and Pop Team Epic Collab Launches with a Wild Video

 

Back in December, news dropped of an incoming collaboration between the Like a Dragon game franchise and Bkub Okawa’s Pop Team Epic. Today, we get a first look at the madness, as narrated by Kiryu and Majima themselves!

 

During season 2, Takaya Kuroda (the voice of Kiryu) and Hidenari Ugaki (the voice of Majima) took turns as Popuko and Pipimi respectively, which naturally lead to the collab. In a new video released today, titled “The Day Before the Collaboration,” the pair reprise their roles to introduce the new line of goods.

 

Have a look as Popuko and Pipimi emulate their video game counterparts, then invade the office of Like a Dragon series writer and designer Masayoshi Yokoyama (as himself):

As noted both in the video and on the collaboration’s official website, the collab gives five opportunities to take home some sweet “Like a Pop Team Epic” merch. Try your luck in an online lottery or crane game, grab hoodies and cushions at the Marui Web Channel store, use your Epos Card to get one of eight stickers, or take part in the Marui Online retweet campaign to grab a set of eight trading pins. The collab runs until February 28.
