Hunter x Hunter: Arena Battle Mobile Game to End Service This March

Hunter x Hunter: Arena Battle

It’s been three years since the Japanese launch of Hunter x Hunter: Arena Battle, a mobile game by DeNA that pits the characters of Yoshihiro Togashi’s ongoing Hunter x Hunter series against one another in strategic card-based clashes. The fun can’t last forever, though, and as such Q-max let everyone know that service will come to an end on March 31, 2023 in Japan.

The iOS and Android outing was a free-to-play game with optional in-app purchases, letting players build decks of characters and acquire new additions to their roster through gacha mechanics. The in-game currency sales will be suspended by the end of February and a final login bonus promotion will be available prior to closure for those still playing.

No global version was released for Hunter x Hunter: Arena Battle.

Yoshihiro Togashi’s Hunter x Hunter manga has been running in the pages of Weekly Shonen Jump since 1998, and Crunchyroll streams the 2011 TV anime adaptation by Madhouse.

Synopsis:

Gon, a young boy who lives on Whale Island, dreams of becoming a Hunter like his father, who left when Gon was still young.
