Higurashi: When They Cry HOU Visual Novel Reveals New DLC

 

Following the original PC release, Higurashi: When They Cry HOU hit Nintendo Switch in Japan back in July 2018, followed by PlayStation 4 in January 2019. Now both versions are set to get some fresh DLC with Entergram announcing Higurashi: When They Cry Origin for a June 22, 2023 launch in Japan.

The DLC adds a new mode that changes the scenario to the single-episode structure of the original games with the addition of the re-recorded dialogue, a feature that lets players switch between new console character portraits and Ryukishi07’s classic illustrations, a new opening and a bonus, fully-voiced Mehagashi scenario.
