Grasshopper Manufacture and Suda51 Tease New Game in Development

 

Following up on the recent reveal of the Shadows of the Damned remaster, developer Grasshopper Manufacture held its own short streaming presentation in Grasshopper Direct 2023. The 11-minute video served as a celebration of the company’s 25th anniversary, and it ended with a humorous little teaser for a game that’s currently in development.

While we don’t really get to see much in the way of hints, the end of the video finds Goichi “Suda51” Suda playing the as-yet-unannounced game. We then see a blurred-out character at the center of a pause screen as Suda stands up and asks, “Is this OK? Our next game is right here onscreen. It’s not cool?”

 

“No, it’s totally not,” community manager James Mountain replies. You can see how it goes down and catch a very brief shot of gameplay starting at around the 10-minute mark below, and you can also see a short teaser for the Shadows of the Damned remaster at the 4:30 mark.

 

 

While there’s no concrete confirmation, the Shadows of the Damned remaster is said to “probably” be coming to all current platforms. 

 

Suda51 could be messing around with us with any number of the small details on screen, so we’ll just have to wait and see what Grasshopper has in the works.
