For the Kid I Saw in My Dreams Manga’s Live-Action Adaptation Dated, Previewed

This month will mark the premiere of a live-action series based on For the Kid I Saw in My Dreams, a manga written and illustrated by Kei Sanbe. Streaming service Lemino revealed plans for the production at the end of July, setting the premiere for August 29. Check out a new preview below.

For the Kid I Saw in My Dreams is being directed by Tsuyoshi Nakakuki, with Daisuke Hosaka on scripts and Tarou Makido on music. Cast members include Mizuki Itagaki as twin brothers Senri and Kazuto, Hinako Sakurai as Senri’s childhood friend Enami Kotogawa, Shigeyuki Totsugi as their father Yuji Yuki and Aki Nishihara as their mother Mitsue Yuki, among others. 

The original manga first launched in Kadokawa’s Young Ace magazine back in 2017 and ran until 2022, ultimately being collected in 11 volumes. Yen Press publishes the series in English and sums up the story like so:

As a young child, Senri Nakajou saw his family murdered before his eyes, and he’s lived for revenge ever since. From his daily activities to his studies, everything is about attaining the power and money necessary to find the killer and make him pay-even if it means getting a little dirty himself…
