Enjoy 93 Out-of-This-World Tunes on Urusei Yatsura TV Anime Soundtrack
Get ready to dance, Urusei Yatsura fans: the soundtrack for the new version of Rumiko Takahashi‘s classic rom-com is on the way!
The upbeat music for the latest iteration was composed by Masaru Yokoyama, the man behind the music for Arakawa Under the Bridge, Mobile Suit GUNDAM Iron-Blooded Orphans, and many others. Among the 93 tracks are two takes on the iconic “Lum’s Love Song” leitmotif, as heard throughout the series: “Lollipop Version” and “Pajama Version.”
The cover is patterned with Lum’s signature tiger stripes. Natural, Lum herself is the cover girl:

The CD will sell for 3,300 yen (tax included), and goes on sale March 1. Pre-orders are now open at mail-order sites and music retailers across Japan.
The latest Urusei Yatsura anime is currently airing on Fuji TV’s Noitamina block having started October 13 over four parts with the first two parts airing consecutively, adapting certain all-star stories from the original manga. HiDIVE is streaming the series in English-speaking countries.
