Dr. STONE TV Anime Introduces 3 New Characters to Treasure Island
Three new inhabitants of Treasure Island are joining the cast of Dr. STONE NEW WORLD!
Starting in episode 8, we’ll be meeting Ibara, Moz and Kirisame. Character designs and voice cast have been announced for all three.
Appearing as the villainous Ibara is Yutaka Aoyama (Dr. Giovanni in Fire Force). Aoyama says he’s looking forward to exploring the character’s duality, and that it’s a dream come true for him to play a character who’s both comedic and a villain.

Appearing as Moz, one of the Petrification Kingdom’s two strongest warriors, is Kazuyuki Okitsu (Kashima Ouka in Is It Wrong to Try to Pick up Girls in a Dungeon?). Okitsu says he hopes to portray the previously-hidden strongest aspect of himself through this character, and notes that Treasure Island is a place with “lots of cute girls and interesting old men.”
Finally, the role of other strongest warrior Kirisame will be played by Kaede Hondo (Maple in BOFURI: I Don’t Want to Get Hurt, so I’ll Max Out My Defense.). Hondo sees Kirisame as “loyal, serious and very pure,” but admits that her first reaction to the character was “What is going on with that outfit?”

Based on the manga by Riichiro Inagaki and Boichi, Dr. STONE New World is directed by Shuhei Matsushita (Dr. STONE Special Episode – RYUSUI) at studio TMS Entertainment, with series composition by Yuichiro Kido (Fruits Basket scriptwriter) and character designs by Yuko Iwasa (D.Gray-man animation director).
Several thousand years after a mysterious phenomenon that turns all of humanity to stone, the extraordinarily intelligent, science-driven boy, Senku Ishigami, awakens.
