Chainsaw Man Competing at Annecy International Animation Film Festival

The Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France will occur June 11-17 this year, and the first episode of the anime Chainsaw Man is in the TV Films in Competition part. It will be competing against titles from all over the world, including shows and episodes Artur y Dropsik “¿Me lo puedo quedar?;” Boys Boys Boys “Tristan; “Chiquifantástica “Episodio 3;” El show del Dr. Gecko “Sex Gender;” Gegone, in the Museum “Eufyros” and more.

Crunchyroll, which is streaming the popular anime, gave this description for it:

“Denji is a teenage boy living with a Chainsaw Devil named Pochita. Due to the debt his father left behind, he has been living a rock-bottom life while repaying his debt by harvesting devil corpses with Pochita.

One day, Denji is betrayed and killed. As his consciousness fades, he makes a contract with Pochita and gets revived as ‘Chainsaw Man’–a man with a devil’s heart.”

The Chainsaw Man anime is being made at MAPPA with Ryū Nakayama of Black Clover helming the project as director. Credit for script writing goes to Hiroshi Seko, who has worked on Attack on Titan The Final Season. The anime’s character designs are done by Kazutaka Sugiyama. The music has been composed by kensuke ushio, known for working on Liz and the Blue Bird and A Silent Voice. The original manga, which is published in America by VIZ Media, is written by Tatsuki Fujimoto.
