Captain Tsubasa: Junior Youth Arc TV Anime Coming from VIZ Media

VIZ Media has formally announced that it has picked up broadcast and streaming rights to the forthcoming Fall anime Captain Tsubasa: Junior Youth Arc. The new anime is a direct continuation of the 2018 Captain Tsubasa anime series and VIZ Media describes it:

 

The International Junior Youth Tournament in Paris, France, is about to begin, and Tsubasa, Misaki, Wakabayashi, Hyuga, and Wakashimazu are ready. Japan’s team of elite players is to face off against the best the soccer world has to offer. Germany’s Schneider, France’s Pierre, Argentina’s Diaz, and Italy’s Hernandez await, along with a host of other new rivals. Let the battle begin!

Cast and staff includes Katsumi Ono directing the series at Studio KAI with Hajime Watanabe handling the dual roles of executive producer and character designer and Atsuhiro Tomioka handling series composition.

 

Cast members featured include Yuko Sanpei as Tsubasa Ozora, Jun Fukuyama as Karl Heinz Schneider, Kenichi Suzumura as Genzo Wakabayashi, Takuya Sato as Kojiro Hyuga, Ayaka Fukuhara as Taro Misaki, Yuichiro Umehara as Ken Wakashimazu, Mutsumi Tamura as Ryo Ishizaki, Wataru Hatano as Hikaru Matsuyama and Soma Saito as Jun Misugi.

 

Captain Tsubasa: Junior Youth Arc will premiere this October, and VIZ Media secured digital streaming, TV, EST, home video and merchandise rights for North and Latin American territories.
