Baki Hanma Reveals OP / ED Theme Song Performers

While various other grapplers look on in the background, Pickle - a caveman who has recovered from a state of suspended animation in the modern day - faces off against Yujiro Hanma in a scene from the upcoming second season of the Baki Hanma Netflix original animation. Both men are shirtless, and Yujiro's eyes sport an evil red gleam.

Music may sooth the savage beast, but not even the newly announced theme song performers will be able to control the martial arts action of the upcoming second season of Baki Hanma, a Netflix original anime based on the manga of the same name.

The opening theme, entitled “Sarracenia”, is performed by SKY-HI. The ending theme, entitled “Salvia”, is performed by BE:FIRST. BE:FIRST was formed through an audition sponsored by SKY-HI, and the two bands share a relationship like parent and child. Similarly, the theme songs reflect the concept of “parent and child”, which is a central premise in Baki Hanma expressed through the conflict between Baki and his father, Yujiro.

The series will stream in two parts on Netflix, with the “The Tale of Pickle & The Pickle War Saga” arc beginning distribution on July 26, 2023, and “The Father VS Son Saga” beginning distribution on August 24, 2023.

Netflix describes the story of the first season of Baki Hanma as follows:

To gain the skills he needs to surpass his powerful father, Baki enters Arizona State Prison to take on the notorious inmate known as Mr. Unchained.
